Breeding Objectives

Our focus is and has always remained on the commercial traits that our clients demand from us: length of body, muscling, wool and fertility. Our aim is to produce a consistent line of rams each year for our clients.

We believe in collecting all the raw data that we can on our rams including muscle scanning, micron testing and fleece weighing. The benefits of Stockscan muscle scanning are that our clients can get the eye muscle area as well as the eye muscle depth of each ram giving them a much better indication of the meat yield of our rams. The wool on the rams is also an important consideration and the data collected can help select the right ram for your needs.
